The New Husband

Liked ..... but didn't love this book. Another reviewer compared it to a lifetime movie and I totally agree with that. It kept my attention and I wanted to finish it to see what happened to all the characters.

The book had a lot of good points - a compelling mystery and good writing for the most part. But there were weak points. First of the title... there was a new boyfriend but the main character didn't marry him. There were also some parts of the story that took me out of the book. An example, the lead character goes the hospital she is able to visit a crime victim, despite having no family connection. I kept thinking there is no way the hospital staff would allow that.

But despite the book's weak points, I definitely see it being a compelling read. It would make a great beach novel.
