The Making of the Atomic Bomb

I loved this book. The best combination of history, biography and science I have ever read! I took notes initially but after awhile I was able to ride the story. The details give the facts that are often skipped in a history or science course. The full reality of the destruction is heavy. The science and size are brilliant. The history feeds into the next big phase in history called the Cold War. I understand many other topics because of this book. Also, bonus points for picture sections and diagrams throughout the book!
