Lo que me ha gustado más es la combi de ellos dos, están absoluta y completamente el uno enamorado del otro <3

I LOOVED the second half of the book and felt kinda meh about the first half. It would be so much better if it were longer and the main characters did not have sex at the very beginning.
EBOOK and AUDIOBOOK
Did not finish.
Meh. I read up to chapter 13 and I'm too bored to continue. I'm in a book funk and need something to grab my attention. This isn't it.
“the way she kissed him back at the airport, holy shit. he'd assumed it'd be a flashback of their night in the hotel, but everything had changed since then and it was totally different.
that night had been all about hot chemistry with a stranger, kissing hallie in the security line, that was something else entirely. that was like coming home.”

The third act conflict was plain idiotic. The author couldn't come up with something better, like i saw it from the moment Jack sabotaged Alex and Hallie's relationship. And then when she confronts him, he disappears to sort out his fucking feelings for two weeks? What is, fifteen year old with freshly developed emotions? Like that was so stupid. It put me off completely.
On the bright side, the banter was nice.
I had hopes for this one since the last one was bad, but if my rating only increased by half a point then what do i say about that
So swoony! I loved their friendship. I loved their text messaging. I loved their arrangement for tacos after bad blind dates. I loved the fake relationship. I loved them trying to pretend they weren't already so in love with each other. I loved everything about this, and stayed up late to finish after powering through the second half of the book over the course of a single evening. Happy sigh!
This book follows Jack (Olive's brother) story. During Olive's wedding, Jack meets Hallie, a bartender that earlier in the morning had helped him choose an engagement ring for his girlfriend Vanessa. After a misunderstanding, Jack and his girlfriend break up and he ends up having a one night stand with Hallie.
Despite not having exchanged any contacts, they end up texting through an online dating app and establish a wager to see who will find first their ideal match.
This is a two POV cosy friends to lovers read, with funny characters that had a lot of chemistry, and some of the most beloved rom com tropes: MMC falls first, fake dating and one bed.
Recommended for contemporary romance readers.
