It is dense, intellectual, philosophical, and asks a reader to examine their own beliefs, biases, and prejudices rather than just going along for the ride while the author tells a story. It is a subtle call to action painted against the backdrop of the JFK 50 ultra-marathon. I had to read this small book (232) pages in measured doses as there was so much to take in. I would definitely recommend if you are looking for a book that make you feel as well as think.[book:The Longest Race:
