I think I liked Kitchens of the Great Midwest better, but both fulfill the same upper midwestern comfort food need
I couldn't finish this. Too much meandering between characters and plot lines.
I loved this. While it felt unbelievable at times (esp about 75% of the way through), I still enjoyed the storytelling. As a craft beer enthusiast and someone who's been involved in a local brewery business, I enjoyed reading a fictionalized tale that told the story of a start-up brewery (and the brewing process).
This book was so sweet and fun. I really enjoyed the characters and the unique setting for them. The brewery details were absorbing without being overbearing and the relationships between these strong women had just the right amount of silly and serious to be engaging and true to life.
