The High Sierra: A Love Story

This was an inspirational story of what it means to connect with a place and be physically and spiritually immersed within it. It changes the way I want to think about time spent in the mountains. I also might just have to run away to the Sierra to get even a fraction of what Stan and co have experienced there.

I enjoyed listening to this one and hearing the authors escapades through many different hiking and camping adventures. As a lover of the outdoors, this was a great book to read. It captured so much emotion - but the book is more than just a “outside lovers” novel. Friendship, life, kids, - all make up this novel, which almost reads like an autobiography.

Overall, fabulous and fun.
