Meh. Standard fodder and a storyline that ranged from the tired to the improbable. DNA is interesting though, so I “read” it, which means I found the couple of sentences on each page (maybe) that brought the story forward. Not much else to say. Apropo for the month.
LOTS going on in this story and it's quite impressive how the author could write using so many characters, across many different timelines. However, this also made it confusing for me to follow; and though it only took me about a week to finish, I felt like I had been reading it for months. But, with all that being said, this was a very good story.
The light, fluffy, sappy side of using a consumer dna test is heavily promoted in this, but it's a bad idea. Other than that, the characters are terrible at communicating.
