All I have to say is: WHAT AN AMAAAAAZING BOOK!!!!
I knew I was going to love it and I wasn't wrong. Enemies to lovers, office romance, gorgeous main characters? Give it all to me.
Main character is extremely hateful. Also why would you stay in a job because you hate a guy so much. Idk, main character annoyed me and seemed super childish and couldn't continue.
First third of book was really not that interesting but when sparks started flying I just couldn't stop reading.
It's funny as hell, and it so incredibly writen.
Listen to this on audio and fell asleep a little bit while listening, but I was able to follow most of the story. Going to abstain from a rating since I technically miss some parts, but since it's a romance it was pretty easy to keep up with.
No. Just no. It was good at first, but it slowed down at the point they attended the wedding.
A love story between two delightful weirdos who play really childish mind games. If I worked with both of them I'd hate it but reading it was fun.
A lot of my favorite tropes, some top tier banter, and the tender moments were so sweetly written.
Quick read, funny, satisfying conclusion. Would recommend if you can get past the first chapter. Will reread.
I am torn. This book is beautifully written and delightfully spicy. The language is poetic, a cut above the average romance novel. But honestly, I think I am not spoiling anything to say the two main characters have the worst communication skills I have ever seen. THE WORST. it's also fair to say that the trope in this book is the opposite of manic pixie dream girl: taciturn hot guy, afraid of his own emotions. The heroine spends a lot of time saving him from himself. It ends well, but it's a nailbiter; I spent so much time waiting for them, each to get out of their own way. As an aside, there is a weird lack of detail and context in this book. It is clearly set in London, but there are no London details. There are no extra characters. It's very tightly focused on these two people and a few people that they interact with every day. I think that contributed to an unexpected heaviness in tone, not very much comic relief, which is a thing I'm used to in this kind of romance. In the end, I liked it with significant hesitations.
I loved it! I predicted the plot twists but they were so fun to read!
Lucy's so oblivious and dramatic it's hilarious while Joshua's there, brooding and waiting for her to catch up. Loved it!
4,5⭐️
Not the full 5 stars because a leak in the story, but I was annoyed by the continual use of the words ´tiny, small, short...´
YES we all know by the middle of the book that Lucy is only five feet, thanks for pointing It out fivehundertbilliom time - really not necessary
I watched the movie first, and while I loved that (reason I wanted to read this) it took me FOREVER to get through the audiobook. I just wasn't interested in picking it up
Easy read, and predictable. But sometimes that is what you need in a book.
I enjoyed it overall, the characters had dimension, and it was an interesting storyline.

I had so much fun reading this book!
Lucy is adorable and feisty, Josh is broody and sexy and the banter between this two was freaking PERFECTION.
Their games, the humor, and the characters were fantastic, the story was addictive and I didn't want to put down my kindle.
The elevator scene... AMAZING!
There are a few cheesy scenes, but overall I enjoyed it a lot. Now, I get the hype about this book. Worth it in my opinion.
I found the main character, Lucy, very unlinkeable and childlish. That's my main takeaway from this book. It is offensive in many places, mainly about how Josh is SO MUCH BETTER because he is TALL and MUSCULAR, not like the guys Lucy dated before, who were shorter and thinner. Her hatred on tall blondes is also annoying (and I am a short brunette like her lol). She despises anyone who is not him or her.
The story was OK, a bit long at times (the endless descriptions of how Joshua is SO HANDSOME). It was obvious from the beginning that she was making up stories of hating him in her head. I read it in two days because I'm sick and have to rest. It was a simple and “cute” story at times. I think I wouldn't have finished it if I had other things to do.
I seen Lucy Hale in the trailer and read the book like she was narrating it. I loved the movie and this book. The author writes so well, I loved the things Lucy worried about, her freak outs, and worries.
All the tropes and clichés aside this was book was cute. It served the unrealistic escape that you go to the romance genre for. Sure there are cringey bits, but none that were dnf worthy. (Got a star knocked off for the slur though.) The cover design artist clearly didn't read the book. Not robin's egg blue, their eye and hair colors are wrong...weird choices overall. The spice was real nice.
I dnf'd shortly into this book because the characters felt so immature. Perhaps I'm just not in the mood to read a “funny” contemporary romance, I use quotes because obviously I didn't enjoy the comedy. Maybe I'll try again in the future when I'm in a better mood for a overly fluffy rom-com-esque novel, or maybe not.
Take a drink every time the narrator mentions how tiny she is and you'll be blackout drunk in the first 50 pages. I didn't hate this but it also wasn't as amazing as its reputation. Lucy was a fun character and I didn't mind being in her head, but she also felt weirdly isolated. Like, she doesn't seem to have any hobbies or friends or even a pet. All she seems to do is work, Skype her parents, and obsess about Josh. The book makes a big deal about how Lucy's best work friend got fired and blamed her, but girl. Go to a yoga class or something! Having said that, I did enjoy this. The banter was fun and it was a perfectly pleasant long holiday weekend read, though not something I feel like I'll want to revisit.
