Dia hanya ingin mereka semua mati.
So twisted but so good!! John Marrs books are so addictive to read and this was no different.
I was blown away by how well the character development is here. I feel such strong hate towards our main character. That requires some seriously good writing to make you feel such strong feelings towards a fictional character.
Although i had no idea which direction this was going to head when i picked this up, i still really enjoyed it. I loved how often a lot of the main characters crosses paths with each other.
Overall a pretty straightforward medium paced story, not as twisty as some of John Marrs' other books, but a solid thriller.
“Because when you're not considered to be a threat, you can get away with much, much more.”
This book is dark and twisted especially the first part. Read the trigger warnings before picking this up. Even for me, it was a bit difficult to read and I don't have triggers.
By 2/3 of this book, I was raging, I don't know if that was the intention of John Marrs or not, on his previous books I still felt a bit of pity for the antagonists but this one I definitely did not. I wanted to kill her myself. A character has never made me this angry before.
the ending wasn't as satisfying as I hoped it would be but that's okay. We can't always get what we want.
This is one twisted book. Laura works a suicide prevention call center. Ryan, who's wife called the center. This is how the paths meet and insanity begins. I did not like Laura at all, she was just unlikable all the way thru. Ryan, I liked and disliked. But, I definitely recommend the book. So good Had so many twists and turns.
Amazing. This was a mess, this was SUPER dark. Unlikable characters seems to be a John Marrs thing. Even the people trying to stop the serial killer were unlikable!!
Wild. The twist ending at the end was absolutely perfect. Really glad I discovered this author.
The Good Samaritan by John Marrs was an awesome read. I have had a very hard time with books since the beginning of September and I found this book easy to read and very entertaining. The One by the same author was one of my favorite books in March of this year for many of the same reasons it was very easy to read. When you look at this title you think oh this is going to be a do-gooder mystery. All I can say is boy am I wrong. Wow, what a twisted thriller. Laura seems to be a caring woman who volunteers at a suicide help line. And she will help you right off a cliff if you allow her into your head. You think you want to commit suicide? She'll be on the phone with you as you take your last breath and she will enjoy it. But someone that Laura helped to leave this world had a husband who desperately wants answers. And when he finds out about Laura's involvement, well, let the games begin. I got this book from Kindle Unlimited and was super pleased with this choice. This was well written, kept my interest, and was very satisfying. Laura's character was an extremely well-drawn portrait of a psychotic serial killer. She didn't actually kill the people herself, but she may as well have. The events were believable, there wasn't a point in the book where you have to suspend rational thought. All in all, I was very pleased, and I would recommend this book to my friends.
