She does it again. Such a beautiful mixture of old and new characters. Schwab has a way to name me invested in characters that don't even have names. An absolute masterpiece to an already great series

Frankly ridiculous leap in quality from A Conjuring of Light.

Solid read for mindless fun. The author is nothing less than consistent and adds new touches - characters, locations, while trying back to earlier novels in the series. While you could read this as a standalone, having context for the development of the recurring characters was a plus.

Fantastic. Probably my favorite fantasy book I've ever read now (previously it was Jonathan Strange & Mr. Norrell). I would say that it's probably better to read the “Shades of Magic” trilogy first but not strictly necessary if you are quick at picking things up (I didn't).

I really enjoyed the “Shades of Magic” trilogy, but it gets even better here. I can't wait for more books in this world :)
