As always Aleatha had me sucked in right from page one. I LOVED the start to Knox & Charli's story in Betrayal and Cunning was just one step further into their world. Crazy twists and hidden plots.. this book was a roller coaster of events. The fact that they have finally opened up to each other, admitted what they had was real and then... we're left with another huge twist!? OMG.. killing me!? LOVE this story and CAN NOT WAIT for the next installment!!
The Fishermen is an exceptional addition to the Infidelity series, and I must say, this book has truly captivated me. It's rare to find an author who can craft angst in such an engaging and enjoyable way, but Harris has done it brilliantly! The story follows Leland Meadows, a 25-year-old with a clear set of rules to protect himself from heartbreak and disappointment. However, when he takes on a last-minute job at a high-profile event, Franklin Kincaid, a 45-year-old man facing his own life crises, challenges his carefully constructed barriers.Franklin's journey is deeply moving. Struggling with an unfulfilling job, a troubled marriage, and a yearning heart, he encounters Leland on a rooftop in Seattle. Their meeting sparks a connection that transforms both of their lives. I found that the age gap theme has been handled with sensitivity, adding depth to their relationship. What stands out in this book is the emotional intensity. Leland and Franklin's hurt/comfort dynamic is beautifully portrayed, making their romance both heartfelt and compelling. The story is rich with moments of vulnerability and growth, making it impossible to put down.As a fan of the first book in the series, [b:The Good Liar 77265775 The Good Liar (Infidelity #1) C.P. Harris is that good at writing characters and relationships that feel incredibly real and moving. In conclusion, this book is a beautiful, emotional journey that I can't recommend enough. You've got to check this out if you're looking for a truly satisfying read.
