Saddest book in the world!

It was an interesting, and dark read. I havent read a book like this before.

You feel bad for Christine but at the same time you don't. Really eerie feelings throughout the book.

While this book is definitely very psychological, it's far from a thriller. I was captivated by the premise and the first half, but it kept dragging on and was very anti-climatic. I didn't hate it, but don't expect anything bombastic.

The First Day of Spring isn't afraid to go to dark places to analyze trauma.

“The hunger was always there, beating fists against the tight seal I had fastened around it, but I pushed it down. It hurt too much to be big. Too big to fit in the clothes that smelled of Linda and the streets. Too big to hide. Too big to love.”

This book is amazing. I could not put it down. The way Nancy Tucker writes just captivates you for hours.

A dark, quite sad/upsetting at times, well written psychological story. Not a thriller exactly, and not what I expected from the light blue cover!
