The Fade Out, Act One

Well done old Hollywood setting. Perfect for crime noir. However, I found the story lacking. It was difficult to navigate the jumps from person to person.

Cool noir vibe in this one. I liked it!

On the recommendation of a friend, I'm delving into Mr Brubaker. He warned me it was a little noirish for my taste, and he's right for the most part. But we are sufficiently interested to keep reading, since Mr Brubaker is thus far a talented writer.
