Uit gewoonte gelezen, maar eigenlijk, net als de Ladies Detective Agency, zijn de boeken min of meer altijd hetzelfde, kabbelende observaties van een groep mensen die al die jaren geen seconde ouder lijken te worden, of enigszins veranderen (nu ja, op Bruce na, dit boek). Misschien toch maar eens op zoek naar een andere serie voor tussendoor.
