The Dictionary of Lost Words

This book really didn't work for me. It started out very slow, as the tale of a girl sitting on the dirty floor under her father's desk. I didn't think it was ever going to evolve into anything else. There were parts that were interesting. The story touched on so many events over many years, and yet never fully explored any of these events. The suffragette movement was one of these events. At the end, I decided it was just OK.
