Sweet, gay and charming, but a tad too farcical. Venetia and The Grand Sophy were better.
The humor in this was so entertaining! Irony and coincidence play hand in hand for the two runaways, though as readers we are privileged to see the lack of coincidence in the events...and the sinister plot going on side-stage. But the runaways are caught right in the middle, and end up holding the key to the whole...when all they wish is some anonymity.
Yes, in a way it was predictable...to a certain extent. But in a good way! I really enjoyed Pen and her hero. ;)
Another entertaining romp through Regency-era England. I found this one was a little slow to get started, but as soon as Pen showed up it was a nonstop run from one crazy thing to the next.
