It was supposed to be one quick job, but it ended in my captivity to a man as dangerous to my safety as he is to my heart. Lachlan Niche had way too much money and in my opinion not enough brains to be worthy of holding onto it. And I was happy to help him out with that problem. The job was simple. He hired me to steal a priceless piece of art that wasn’t for sale. But I wasn’t about to steal for this guy—certainly not a painting created by the man who inspired me to become an artist. I decided I’d just forge it. He’d get the fake, and I’d get a cool 12 million for the imaginary heist. What could possibly go wrong? Everything.
