The City of Ember

I was pleasantly surprised how much I enjoyed the book. I gobbled it up in a couple days. Sadly it felt more like a prequel world building rather than a story, and I feel like future books will have a romance which i'm definitely tired of. But the writing is the perfect kind of simple, where its an enjoyable read, and the book does include a map for those who like those.
