I have forced myself to start this book, because I genuinely wanted to continue the series... but I was disappointed by the insta love + the summer vibes. I think I'll just pass reading the 3rd book as well.
The only thing that was good abt this book was the smut. Thats 2 books in the same series I dont like which means i cant finish this series
Sorryyyy
I enjoyed the mystery plot line, and the character development across the book, however. It was fun to hear about Kira from The Christmas Tree Farm (also by Laurie Gilmore) mentioned, which is what I wanted to get out of reading the Dream Harbor series. Unfortunately, this book was was spicier than I thought it would be which I wasn’t prepared for, nor in the correct headspace for really. However, as mentioned in my last review, I don’t think Gilmore repeated herself as much in this book, but she still stated the obvious. I also wanted to hear more about the ‘Cinnamon Bun’ aspect of the book shop but it was only touched on a few times. Overall this book was quite a fun and easy read, but I don’t think the story will stick with me.
That was a nice reading. I had enjoyed discovering Dream Harbour in the first book and it was really nice to see a different vision from different characters. I loved their story and the way it happened but most of all I appreciate how the male characters are written by the author.
Ugh nee sorry denk dat dit aan mij ligt maar wat een gezeik. Normaal ben ik extreem te porren voor a lil small town romance maar ik vond beide characters zo fokking irritant dat elke bladzijde me er eentje te veel was sorry xoxo
I liked this one slightly more than the first one. It's exactly like the first with a quick light romance. I think this is better fitting for the end of summer (August/September) than it is for the middle of autumn. This series is just so cozy and cute, can't wait for a Christmas read next!
