Hmmmm this one did not appeal to me quite as much as the others. I liked a lot of elements but it did not add up to a cohesive read to me. I'm certainly not one to be put off by death and violence and gore since I was raised on horror movies, but by the end even I was like, dude, Adam, chill. Still, it was hard to put the book down since I wanted to see where the bananas plot was going, and I adore the cover. Overall, 3 ICP references out of 5.
It feels like Adam Cesare should have written another 50 pages to flesh out the final act, because those last few chapters felt incredibly rushed and lacking compared to the first 9/10ths of the book.
Amazing concept, but stumbled hard when it mattered most. Still worth a read, though.
