The Christmas Shoes

This is another one that I picked up because it was such a short read. I have also really loved the song. I never actually knew it was a book. I know there's a movie but I don't think I've ever seen it but I would like to watch it. As for the book, it is heartbreaking. We follow 2 families both of which are struggling to stay together for two completely different reasons. They live in the same small town and end up helping each other without knowing it. As I said this book is heartbreaking. I listened to it one night after everyone went to bed and I'm surprised I didn't wake my husband up because I was sniffling like crazy because I was crying so much. While it will definitely pull at your heartstrings there are also lessons to be learned while reading it. I will for sure be continuing on in the series next year. 

I've listened to this song every Christmas for as long as I can remember. I never knew that it was a book, and when I saw that it was, I had to grab it.

Of course, that means I was crying almost the whole time, but I just love the overall feeling this book gives. It's not just about grief and loss, it's about the Christmas Spirit, hope, forgiveness, and second chances.

Sometimes it's the little things in life we don't expect that touches our hearts and can make a world of difference. Kindness and love, can go a very long way.
