3.5/5 - To forewarn everyone, this is a Christian based book, but I absolutely enjoyed this as it was a second chance romance. I appreciate how the Christmas spirit was sprinkled throughout the book with the activities and the music.
The FMC (Bebe) was a really good person and didn't deserve how the men treated her.
I was iffy about the MMC (Jaleel) but understood why he was so against coming back to his home town. His daddy (The Pastor) was trash! Seems like a common theme in certain books I've read. But the author always gives them a redemption arc at the end. And Bebe's ex husband.....OOOHHHWEEEE! She's better than me!
What a cute and super sweet romance. I'll admit I'm the beginning I wasn't feeling they had much chemistry and wasn't fully on board.
However Jay really stepped up and pursued Bebe. I also love how they communicated with each other and were honest about their feelings and misgivings. There wasn't any silly miscommunication and going around in circles.
And I adored how he cared about her daughter Hope and cheerfully and respectfully stepped up being the father she never had.
Adorable holiday romance
