More introspective than I normally gravitate to, but this was a passionate reminder that books are important.

I bought this book on a weekend trip to Budapest. I just liked the title and the cover but didn't pay much attention to what it was.
This was by far one of the best reads I had in my life, it's a simple but yet amazing story for book lovers.
If you like books you should definitely read this one.

Not at all what I was expecting. Each of the ‘adventures' ended in anticlimactic conversations that put forth idealistic truths about books. Which honestly anyone who picked up this book would probably already believe to a certain extent. This book felt like it was meant to lecture people. Not fun.

Cute book. It reads like a fable on the importance of books in our modern life. Mainly it asks the question “why do we read?”

3.5. Sweet, but a little heavy-handed

a sweet easy fluffy read - didn't think too deeply about it but enjoyed it and its straightforward perspective on books

kinda like Y.A. Haruki Murakami-lite, if such a thing existed. ...which i guess it does, now. i am sure there must be a manga adaptation at some point.
