IDK, this series just isn't doing it for me. It very much could be the case of “wrong book, wrong time” but it's just not holding my interest. I like the relationship between Roland and Sair, but the tone is a weird combination of serious and flippant that doesn't quite work, and the plotting is uneven. The author's voice is just in the wrong key for me, I guess. YMMV if you are looking for a new M/M fantasy romance series.
