The Book Thief

By the end of the book tears flooded my hands as I turned to change the page.
The ending is hauntingly beautiful.
Each word had power and was meticulously picked out and placed– the wit and charisma of death itself was riveting. Throughout the book, melancholy danced among the words and stood finally at the last sentence.

“I am haunted by humans.”
