The Book That No One Wanted to Read

I found this hilarious and sweet. I love reading books about books and books about writing. If I was still an elementary school teacher/librarian, I'd use this as an introduction for a lesson or unit on writing fictional stories or writing from an inanimate object's perspective. There's actually quite a lot that can be used to explore many concepts and beliefs, including how to love ourselves, someone, or something beyond external appearances.

I guess I can see why some people didn't like it... if you don't like quirkiness, it's probably not for you.

I was not in love with the librarian representation in this book, but I am in love with Richard Ayoade:



So, I guess it all evens out in the end. 3 telepathic books out of 5.

I enjoyed this author when I watched the IT Crowd, and all I could hear was his voice as I read this book. That was not a bad thing in this case. In fact, I thought it was perfect. The story is fun, and the artwork perfectly complements the book. If you're looking for a light, fun read, then you enjoy this book, which NO ONE wanted to read. :-)
