The Blindness of Madge Tyndall

It's old-fashioned melodrama, and probably only deserves three stars or so. But I love it so much I'm making an emotional rating here and giving it five. It has all those delightful elements of melodrama...the supposedly faithless hero, the broken-hearted heroine, kidnapping, a girl deciding to marry for her family's sake...the wonder here is how it all fits into only 200 pages. But it stole my heart anyway...
