What an improvement to the previous book. I like that a lot.

God this was long and, to be frank, felt it. Granted it came together in the last 10%, but there was a lot of travelogue up to that point. Won’t stop me reading the final book however - or at least it wouldn’t if it weren’t for the fact that the next book is not available on Kindle in the UK. WTF. Hopefully it finally appears before this fades from my memory…

Another great instalment, bring on the finale!

Another stellar performance from Durfee! Seriously this series is a top 10 fantasy series. At the very least top 10 ongoing series. A must read without a doubt. This book adds a couple more POV characters and every single character is so entertaining to read, to the point where I don't really have a favorite character because I love them all for separate reasons. We finally find out who's been leaving cryptic messages for Tala but there's still so many more answers to be had that I'm dying for the next book. Especially since it seems like dragons will be incorporated. Yes please! This book also has one of the most epic battle scenes that could rival John Gwynne.
