The Black Flamingo

I'm not sure if this was a memoir but it def. felt like it! Must have been inspired by the authors life I imagine. The time line and build up of exploring events throughout school/life really helped build the character and it felt lifelike and compelling to see what would be next - although, sometimes a bit choppy or maybe pacing felt off a little to me?Our shy character is really forgiving and grows up to be nice, thoughtful, and more confident by the end!
