Surprisingly Engaging & Entertaining

This is monster-with-human romantic erotica done mostly right. It has an actual plot, a believable romance trajectory, and handles matters of consent flawlessly through lore and circumstances.

While I had a few issues - the inclusion of a mean-spirited female ex for one of the gay males (a trope I loathe), the frequency of typos from the middle onwards, a few minor things in the smut - I enjoyed reading this. It was fun, entertaining, sweet, and steamy with an interesting plot: everything I want from a romance, with the added intrigue of being a human and a Bigfoot. I thought the smut was kind of lukewarm, but not enough to deter me or make me skim. In fact, typos aside, the writing quality is impressive for the subgenre and good in general.

I actually found myself caring about the characters and wanting more of the community introduced at one point. If this were a series, I'd happily read more.

Glad I chose this when seeking something quick and light to power through my current reading slump!
