Since we can't give half stars, Rainn gets a perfect rating since four stars seemed too low. I just like this soulful pancake so very much!
Liked this better than Tina Fey's and Amy Poehler's memoirs. Rainn has lived a fuller life and I loved listening to him tell his story.
3.5 stars I had no intention of picking this up, but it was available on OverDrive and I thought ‘why not? I love The Office, I love Dwight. Might as well learn more about Rainn Wilson.' I had no expectation and I was pleasantly surprised :)
I was surprised at how much I didn't enjoy this book. I thought for sure Rainn Wilson's memoirs would be right up my alley, but alas, it was not. So much of the book centered around his faith and spirituality and “why are we here” and “where did we come from”.
I did enjoy listening to the work he and his wife are doing with at risk girls and through Soul Pancake, but it wasn't enough to change how I felt about the book as a whole.
