Sometimes you're just in the mood for psychotic men, and this was one of those times. I enjoyed this a lot more than ‘The Finisher'. In the beginning, it felt like a ripoff of Haunting Adeline. (Sorry, not sorry); but I did end up liking it more as I kept reading. The characterisation and plotline, although slightly extreme; fit.. just right. I LOVED the writing, as I always have w this series. I could feel Lyla's frustration, her helplessness, the progressively increasing loneliness and desolation with every page. And Dainn blackthorne
Definitely different from the previous but still super intriguing.
Shadow man is very intense, and all over Lyla. Very obsessive over her. He always has a plan waiting and he's 4 steps ahead, he is playing chess when everyone else is playing checkers.
Girly has been through the wringer 10 times over but is a fighter.
A kind of crappy cliff hanger and now impatiently waiting for the final book to tie off all loose ends !!!
I can't wait for the 6th book to come!
We finally get to Luna/Lyla! Yes, I'm so glad she wasn't dead. I'm still not over Hector from the last books and this one. He's a slimly snake. I hate that The Shadowman kept Luna from Tristan, I get his master plan but he has been looking for her for 20 years. This book gives me a lot of closure for questions and thoughts from the other books. When Tristan finds out He could have had his sister back six years prior he is going to be enraged. I wish the 6th book would come sooner, it's due out sometime this year and I can't wait. I need full closure, I need to know the rest of the story. This book was good, books 3 and 4 are still my favorites, I feel like this one was a lot of fill in the gaps and hole the other books left.

I was expecting a reunion but i guess it's fine. I also wasn't expecting to read about the shadowman, much less have his as the love interest for Luna but damn. This was a rollercoaster of a ride.
