- Not quite as interesting as some of his other books, but it was a fun review of how we came to where we are.
- I enjoyed the part toward the end of the book where he explored what would happen if we could go back to an earlier point and rerun evolution. Would humans evolve again? Doubtful. Some mutations, however, seem to have evolved multiple times independently. Sight, notably, has been evolved 40 separate times. Flight has evolved numerous times. It's likely that if evolution could be run again, eyes and flight would both appear.
