Okay, this is my first omegaverse book and the first dragon shifter book and I absolutely loved it. The love story was so great, I loved both characters and how feral and obsessed Ronson was with Mairwen. I would have loved to know more about the dragon lore: why was the mating erased from history, what happened that Omegas were seen so below Alphas were before they have been their equals, how the Isle changed during Mariwen and Ronson's rule. And why Mariwen didn't have a scent most of the time - was that because she was destined to Ronson? I need these details. I hoped they would be in the book.
But this book was so good. The love story was great, the bickering humour was hilarious and I loved how Mariwen gained strength and confidence thanks to her relationship with Ronson. And how in love they were, despite not being a love match at first.
I will definitely read the rest of the books in the series if they're ever written. This world is too interesting to abandon it.
Probably the sweetest low-stakes fantasy romance I've ever read (also the smut was great! ;)
It is such a fun read, spicy as to be expected from a KMoon book. I love the dragon shifting, the OV, and discovering parts of their history lost (or destroyed) from time.
It also just for some reason didn't hit me right and that could be because I am not the hugest fan of historicals and my mood wasn't totally aligned for this book. Seriously, it takes me years to get through historical romance series sigh.
Anyhow, I do recommend it and will be reading the next.
