Love this book and series, but it does depend a little on you having read the first book. It's also just slightly too fast paced for me, just barely. Otherwise, adore it.
What can I say? This series is such a good time. I loved this book. It was so funny and I laughed out loud more times than I can count. And those spicy scenes? Woooooooooweeeeeee! I'm Ace and even I got some tummy flutters.
4,5 stars for this story, whose individual plot points sound like something you might find while reading crack fics
♡
- golden retriever werewolf is the best kind of wolf and if you look closely you can see me waving green flags that have “i <3 felix” written on them
- that first spicy scene caught me very much unprepared but not unwelcome
- i have a weak spot for fantasy that doesn't take itself serious but still adheres to it's own rules
Hilariously entertaining read that perfectly combines comedy, a diverse cast, and just the right amount of smut. The story's comedic timing is impeccable, delivering laugh-out-loud moments that are both relatable and absurdly delightful. The incident with the love potion and a werewolf is especially uproarious and sets the tone for the rest of the novel.
What adds depth to this book is its diverse cast of characters. Each character is well-developed and brings a unique perspective to the story, making the narrative richer and more engaging. The interactions among this varied group are not only entertaining but also provide insightful glimpses into different experiences and viewpoints.
The smut in the story is tastefully done, adding a spicy layer to the plot without overpowering the book's overall charm and humor. It's seamlessly woven into the narrative, complementing the story's playful and lighthearted tone.
After reading and loving the first book in this series I was really looking forward to reading this one. I didn't love this one as much as I did the first book but I did still really enjoy it. It's still completely ridiculous and funny with some steam but this one just didn't hit the same. I do still want to read the other book(s) in this series.
This series is so funny! Felix is adorable, him and Brie are great together. Also more Alexis!!!
And the language/ writing style is so easy and humorous– like I laughed every time I read Brie yeeting something. The scene versus the big bad made me laugh so, so hard. Made me love Brie and her reading choices so much.
The cast of characters is great, although we don't dive into them too much because this is a shorter book, but for what this is– humorous romance with a fantasy flare– it is great. I am really looking forward to the next book and seeing what Dante's woman will be like!
