When Danielle goes home for Thanksgiving, nothing goes as planned.
Danielle has not been home for a long time. When she gets there, she gets one surprise after another. One of them is the girl she had a huge crush on growing up: her straight best friend Elise.
Elise has a few secrets of her own. In a calamity of errors for Danielle and Elise, they have no choice but to face their past. Now can they resolve their present enough to eat the holiday meal or are the obstacles to big?
Edie Bryant presents situations in Thankful (B07764YT4Q, 2017) that you do not know whether to chuckle at or to cry with Danielle. As I type this, I am still shaking my head at some of the happenings in the book. Holy sugar.
This is a fun and quick read. If you need a romantic escape with a guaranteed “happy ending” then this is it. Danielle and Elise are great together and you root for them even if it is just for their friendship. Bryant is even nice enough to throw in a quickie for us (laugh) - thank you! I do love my sex scenes.
Read Thankful for your afternoon escape from the family. Love, friendship, family, and a happy ending - Bryant provides everything you need for the holiday. ✶✶✶✶
