I am truly, deeply in love with this author's talent for world building and incredible knack for quirky, unusual characters. Simply said, I am amazed by all she has invested as time and imagination in creating a vivid, thrilling, all consuming fantasy world. For the first time in years, I am able to continue reading Academy series. Usually no matter how strong a beginning is, my interest is totally lost on the 2nd or 3rd book. But that didn't happen here. The 3rd installment of the story is a testament how important is trust when you are building a relationship with another person and even more so when there are more than 2 people involved. Ava is learning crucial for her survival life lessons in a way that show her impressive personality growth. But she isn't the only one who has to face a lot of challenges. Erritt, Harper and Skye have there own battles. And when we add to that the increasing attacks all over Exerin Mi, Ava's life and that of her guardians turn into a complicate jigsaw puzzle, they all have to navigate, connect the pieces correctly in order to survive and be one step ahead.
