Another great read from Mr. Grisham. I wouldn't call this a “sequel”, other than some of the same characters this was a completely different story. The court scenes were so eloquently done, for a brief moment there I was really enthralled and forgot it was a book and that I wasn't actually there.

Jake Brigance is really an exciting character and I couldn't help but hear Matthew McConaughey every time he spoke! There was not one part of this book that bored me, I would love to continue to read more books starring Jake.

The premise for this book surrounds a wealthy man's, Seth Hubbard, suicide. He will's his entire estate to his housekeeper, a black woman by the name of Lettie Lang, to the dismay of his adult children who never see him. As guessed an all out legal battle takes place, but there's a haunting secret from Seth's past that brings everything to a crashing halt. I highly recommend this book!
