Are the Swiss the happiest people on earth? You might not think such a thing could be measured, since there are happy people and miserable people everywhere. However, yes, it is possible to determine the relative happiness of a people according to nationality. And yes, the Swiss stand blissfully at the very top of the world in terms of "life satisfaction." That is one of the eleven categories in the 2015 Better Life Index, a scorecard of 34 nations' well-being published by the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD). The other ten categories are housing, income, jobs, community, education, environment, civic engagement, health, safety, and work-life balance. - p. 5.
