First chapter was... alright, little boring, but there is a lot of information to cover, I get it. But the first page of the second chapter?? It's Jack, the captain's, POV and he straight up says women shouldn't be on boats, he doesn't work with women on boats. That superstition is so old and makes him seem intolerable. Women work on all kinds of watercraft.
Anyhow, I just don't have the patience for this kind of character development especially because I'm pretty sure something is going to go rough with the dive and he's gonna viciously blame her.
