Studying Paul's Letters provides a survey of contemporary methods in scholarship on Paul and his letters, including current thinking about the historical-critical method as well as "contextual" or perspectival interpretations. More than a series of "how-to" essays in interpretation, the chapter in this volume, written by experienced scholar-teachers, show how differences in starting point and interpretive decisions shape different ways of understanding PaulÆs letters. The chapters are organized for use in a single semester course. Book jacket.
