I made Erick Adams into the monster that he is today. I doomed the whole world by giving him the means to become invincible.

Wilder said to me once that, whether it's a blessing or a cruse, I'm never, ever on my own. This time, it will be no different. I'll go to the end of the worlds if I have to, sell my soul to whoever will buy it, just to kill the monster I created and save the people I loved from a fate more horrible than death.
