75% van dit boek was gewoon dat zij bij hem in dat huis opgesloten was. Dat was soms echt best saai. De laatste 25% hebben ervoor gezorgd dat het een 3 ster is ipv een 2,5...
I received this e-arc from Netgalley in return for my honest opinion.
I did not love this book as much as I thought I would. I loved the first book, but this book feels like a romanced version of Stockholm Syndrome.
I did really enjoy Nessa as a character, I liked to see how, despite everything, she continued to grow and be a better person. Her learning Polish to just F*ck with Miko was fun to see.
This truly was a beauty and the beast retelling, which I liked.
Will continue with the series, just because I like Sophies writing and im curious to see what she does with the other books.
Not as good as the first, but still enjoyable.
Happy to see Nessa's story, and her becoming true to herself. Miko is a bit of a spot fire, but passionate none the less.
idk I just couldn't get all the way into it or the relationship, but it is written well and I never wanted to dnf it.
Delicious read

I'm Absolutely obsessed with the I hate everyone but you trope and Sophie absolutely nails is with the bad boy exterior, cinnamon roll interior that is Miko when it comes to Nessa.
I am never let down when I read a Sophie Lark book. The tension between Miko and Nessa, how they bring out each other's strengths, and the proposal and their wedding vows could melt the coldest heart.
It's a 10/10!
Upped this to 4 stars since reading as I keep thinking about it and did really like it.
I liked the Beauty and the Beast aspect of this one. Miko was a great character, didn't really like Nessa much. It was entertaining, though.
It was better than the first book in this series, in my opinion.
The pacing was somewhat off, the first 50% were slow and then everything started happening at the same time.
Everything wrapped up a little too nicely at the end.
