The world building was nonexistent, relationship between Wyn and Danny was shallowly portrayed, and there were a few big editing shortcomings. It had potential but felt written hastily and underdeveloped. Generally had a feel of mediocre fan fiction. I have it 3 stars instead of 2 because I didn't really hate it, I enjoyed some moments, even cried some but it was still very disappointing, worth reading only because I don't have any better options rn. I hope other books in this series will be better.
trying to explain to people why Wyn is an absolutely green flag despite having killed more people than the number of days i've been alive
*insert gif of the dude with the wall full of snippets and red thread*
but tbh if you want an actual morally gray character that would not hesitate to slaughter anyone in his way for his lover - this is the right place
This had no business being as good as it was. I was not expecting emotional damage from a little monster romance story. I have already started the next book in the series.
I haven't had a good read in a bit. This was fucking glorious.
There is not much in the way of plot, and I don't care. The relationship was intriguing enough to carry the whole book. It's not perfect. There are parts where I thought, “Hmm,” but as a package? Glorious.
Wyn can get it anytime. You want my body? You want to get off?
