The magistrate Giovanni Corrias, father of Matilde (12 years), is investigating a child's mysterious death. Violaine, a young policewoman with a degree in psychology, helps him to reconstruct the sequence of events. Matilda, meanwhile, observes the adults and their struggle to cope with the fragility of life.
