This book series is fantastic and is filled with everything you could imagine- and more! I can't tell you how many times I re-read each book. I totally love everything to do with this series. It's like Harry Potter, Lord of the Rings, and is a MUST-READ!!

so freaking god im kind of in shook i havent read this up until this point in our lords year of 2023 10 whole years after it was published. mid-way through i ordered the next books already!!
i LOVE middle grade first and foremost but this was just. so. charming. so sweet. so heartfelt. so meaningful.
i also loved how fast paced this was. i have a goldfish pea sized brain and i lose interest QUICKLY which is why i loved how this book was 500 pages yet i read in in 5 days. like wow.
soooo much happened in those 500 pages though so im so excited (and scared) to see what happens in the NINE other books in this series. and im scared bc book 3 is like 600+ pages ....

The first 100 pages were so enthralling, but then the middle of the book got a like bit slow. This volume can be read as a standalone with a happy ending, but I think I still want continue the series!
reading about an underage girl being addicted to magic-vape and trying to get her friend hooked on it was not on my 2022 bookish bingo card ngl
This book was absolutely amazing!!! I loved it... I never heard anything about it before reading it and I just started listening to it in Audible just to pass the time with some fun book. It was great just great! I loved the world the author build. I loved Sophie's character and I wish I was like her! Her friends and her new family were amazing too! It was a bit weird that she mostly had guy friends though... I hope she doesn't get into relationships because she is still soo little... (and I hate romance stories) I loved her special abilities as a Telepath and an Inflicotor. She also has other pretty cool abilities Spoilershe is a Polyglot who can speak many languages instinctively. I loved the mystery side it has and I will sure read the other books of this series! It may become one of my top series on my list! It felt a bit odd that not everything was resolved at the end but I hope the rest of the series solves that. I wish the elves world really existed and I was one though... Highly recommend 5/5!!!
Wasn't that unlike the first time I read it. IM TEAM KEEFE AND SOPHIE... iig it time to read the second book hope its good but wow she's a telepath and an inflictor wow wonder what other powers she can do...
I know that this book is certainly not a masterpiece, but somehow I enjoyed its fast pace.
I cried, I laughed, I screamed and I smiled. I'm hooked, I'll have to read the whole series now. Oh well...
I would give this a 4-4.5. I came into this book knowing that it was a middle grade, and didn't expect what I got.
At first everything was moving extremely fast, but not in a natural sort of way and because of that I thought I wasn't going to enjoy the rest of it. About a third the way through though things began to slow down and there were a ton of layers to the story. I blasted through it after that and really enjoyed it.
Sophie has always known she was different. She just doesn't quite fit in. She can also hear everyone's thoughts. She doesn't know why she can do this, just that she can.
Until, she meets Fitz. Then her whole life changes.
I cannot say enough good things about this book! I couldn't put it down, I didn't want it to end. I already ordered the next 2 books!
