Something More: Finding the Joy and Purpose of Life

In Something More, the author invites his readers on a journey of self-evaluation and, with stories and illustrations, points them towards Jesus, the everlasting fulfillment of life.

I really enjoyed Something More and the questions and answers that it provided. The author focuses on the topics of identity, Biblical joy, and what it means to live for a purpose, rather than simply living for vain wants and desires.

He uses examples from the Bible, from relatable fictional characters, personal stories and friends, and even famous celebrities to illustrate his points throughout the book. His brief and to the point writing style makes it great for its target audience (high school & college age students), though there were some topics that I think could have been expounded on further for emphasis. The discussion questions after each chapter also make this great for a small group study.

Overall though, Something More: Finding The Joy and Purpose of Life is a great book and I recommend it especially for new Christians and youth groups! I give it 4 out of 5 stars.
