I tried. A.J. Macey had my hope and attention and lost both. There are so many things I want to say that I don't know where to start. The talent is there but the execution needs work. This book feels incomplete. The first one did too, but there was enough there that I just thought it was because it was the first book in a series. That it would get better or the wholes would be filled in with time... It didn't.
