Sisterland

I was drawn in early, repulsed by character choices nearer end, and ending barely rescued.

This book just went on and on and on. I really disliked both the sisters. The husbands were basically nonexistent in personality... I was really disappointed. I normally love Sittenfeld. But Christ... My patience was really low with this one. The mundane day to day crap...

This is really a story about families and blood ties with a dash of psychic powers thrown in for flavor. I'm not even sure the sisters' powers were necessary - they functioned as a tool to demonstrate the things we share and those we cannot fathom about our families. This book certainly wasn't bad, but I feel rather indifferent about it.
