Midwife Emma Finch starts work at a new hospital, the Bob, back in her native Yorkshire. It's supposed to be a fresh start for her and her daughter, Keira, but then she discovers that Nick Logan - the man she once loved with all her heart, and who left her when she needed him most - is her department consultant.
